Port Royal Robber's Row Course - Reviews

Robber's Row, a traditional favorite, has recently undergone a major renovation under the direction of renowned golf course architect, Pete Dye. Throughout the front nine, a total of 43 bunkers were either added, moved or reshaped. One of the truly unique aspects is that each golfer gets a brief history lesson on each hole. Although tee-shot landing areas are generous, approach shots require accuracy to the well-bunkered, undulating greens.

Although tee-shot landing areas are quite generous, approach shots require accuracy to the well-bunkered greens. Robber's Row is a lovely, scenic course highlighted by a challenging quartet of excellent par-3 holes. Those looking for a real challenge can move to the back tees and find a very fair, but stern test of golf.

Robber's Row, newly redesigned by world-famous architect Pete Dye, has emerged as one of the most exciting new courses on the Island. The course is cut through beautiful stands of magnolia and live oak trees. Robber's Row is a very scenic course, highlighted by a challenging quartet of par-3's.

"Undulating greens and narrow fairways are the defense of this course. It's not very long, and the hazards are manageable. You just have to lag well and keep it straight off the tee you you'll score well. It's a nice course and it was in good shape." "Pete Dye remodeled the greens and turned this track into a killer. A good layout to start with, the new greens with tricky undulations can make a grown man cry. Truly a test."
